Lunch & Snacks

At Temple Beth Sholom Innovative School we recognize the importance of innovation not only within our education but also within our culinary delights. We have a state of the art 1,000 square foot on-site kitchen where our meals are prepared daily. Nutrition is a vital component to our children’s physical development. Our ingredients are always fresh and purchased locally.

Infant/Toddler Level

Once your toddler is able to eat solid foods and feed him or herself parents are welcome to have a conversation with the Sara Ebener, the Director of the program to determine if a child is ready for the lunch program. Below the following meals are served weekly.

Monday

Lunch Entrée options (choose one):

  • Mahi Mahi (baked strips marinated in lemon and olive oil, lightly coated in breadcrumbs w/side pasta
  • Pasta with homemade Marinara Sauce
  • Almond Butter and Jelly sandwich on whole grain bread

Side: Broccoli roasted or steamed, organic chocolate chip cookie

Snack: Organic cheese sticks, crackers, fresh cut seasonal fruit

Tuesday

Lunch Entrée options (choose one):

  • Freshly ground chicken meatballs with tomato sauce
  • Vegetable “meatballs” with tomato sauce
  • Almond Butter and Jelly sandwich on whole grain bread

Side: Rice with quinoa and amaranth and peas, fresh cut seasonal fruit

Snack: Whole wheat bread with almond butter and jam, fresh cut seasonal fruit

Wednesday

Lunch Entrée options (choose one):

  • Baked tenderloin chicken strips
  • Vegetable nuggets
  • Almond Butter and Jelly sandwich on whole grain bread

Side: Roasted red potatoes, cucumber and grape tomato salad, fresh cut seasonal fruit

Snack: Hummus with whole wheat pita and fresh cut cucumbers

Thursday

Lunch Entrée options (choose one):

  • Freshly ground chicken sliders on whole grain bun
  • Veggie sliders on whole grain bun
  • Almond Butter and Jelly sandwich on whole grain bread

Side: Corn on the cob, fresh cut seasonal fruit

Snack: Low fat yogurt served with strawberries, graham crackers

Friday

Lunch Entrée option

  • PTO Pizza Day! Pizzas are provided freshly baked by a local pizzeria

Side: Fresh cut seasonal fruit

Snack: Challah with cream cheese and fresh seasonal fruit

Foundation Level (excluding Pre-K)

Below the following meals are served weekly.
